New Region II Administrator of EPA to Speak at Superfund/Brownfield Update Webinar

Lisa Garcia will give her first public presentation in her new capacity as USEPA’s Region II Administrator at the NYSBA Environmental & Energy Law Section’s annual webinar on Superfund/Brownfield Update 2021: Federal and State Environmental Law and Policy  on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

Ms. Garcia will join Walter Mugdan, EPA Region II Deputy Administrator, as a Co-Keynote Speaker for the program.

Co-Chaired by Gibbons Director David J. Freeman, this annual event will feature updates on important developments in both the federal Superfund program and New York’s brownfield program. In addition, there will be panels discussing new perspectives on environmental justice, the Section’s proposal to extend and amend the state’s Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP), and recent court cases involving Superfund and brownfield issues. Mr. Freeman will be chairing the Superfund panel and participating in the panel discussing the Environmental & Energy Law Section’s proposal to extend and amend the BCP.
